Practice History at Durham DDS
Our heritage of dental service in Durham, NC – since 1954.
Our dental practice has held a special place in Durham since 1954 when it was founded by Dr. Leroy Heath, one of UNC Dental School’s inaugural graduating class. In 1982, Dr. Don Wheless took over the practice. Dr. Wheless was valedictorian at Emory Dental School and a UNC Dental School Professor of Prosthodontics. When he retired in 2012, he chose Dr. Bill Argersinger to succeed him and continue the practice. In 2013, another veteran Durham dentist Dr. Jim Thompson retired and entrusted his patients to Dr. Bill. Dr. Jim and Betty are still regulars around the practice.
Dr. Argersinger has maintained the rock-solid foundation of comprehensive family dentistry our patients are used to, as well as reinvigorated the practice with modern dental technologies and an aesthetics and cosmetic talent. Whether your interests or needs are same-day crowns, cerec crowns, dental implants, tooth whitening, clear braces like Invisalign®, or just fillings, our goal is to maintain our heritage of trust and kindness to help you reach your dental health goals. We encourage you to check out our testimonials and reviews all over the web.
